Joining the United Kingdom and France on the hybris platform, the Dr. Martens USA store has significantly upgraded its website experience. hybris software enables Dr. Martens to utilize a global Product Content Management system (PCM) to drive multiple stores and e-commerce channels; each with their own localization. The hybris Management Console empowers each region to manage and localize their content, and allows new regions to come online easily.
The hybris platform is extremely robust and scalable, allowing Dr. Martens to respond to the increasing demand of visitors and sales. A fully customized server stack, hand-built and configured by Project A, allows for load balancing between several servers, and additional servers can quickly be added to the system as it grows.
Project A also expanded the hybris solution with a custom Order Management Gateway, along with automated import and export processes, to streamline data processes and business logistics.
Making full use of external services that excel in their field, drmartens.com has been integrated with the Amazon Cloud offerings to scale on demand, as well as serve portions of the site regionally. Additional services include Communicator
and many other e-commerce components to help drive sales.

We have increased our skillset to utilize Java and Agile methodologies to support the hybris platform, and more stores are already in the works. We are excited about the evolution of e-commerce and how it can better serve our customers.
