Project A Purchases Scarab Media

Effective February 16, 2009, Project A, Inc. has purchased Scarab Media, a Medford Oregon company.
Since 1998, Scarab Media has been a leader in Southern Oregon developing Website solutions. With a strong focus on eCommerce and Website design, Scarab Media currently services hundreds of local and national customers.
"Our success is due to our incredible clients," says Andy Spliethof, founder and former owner of Scarab Media. "My wife and I worked hard to build up a company and deliver outstanding design and eCommerce solutions over the years, and we are very proud of what we have accomplished."
After he was presented with an opportunity at another organization, Spliethof decided he could not pass it up. "I worked long hours to find the right company to purchase Scarab Media. I wanted to find a company that would continue the world-class service and support our customers are used to. That company is Project A."
Following a similar path as Scarab Media, Project A, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Jim Teece and his wife, Dena Matthews. Project A also develops award winning Websites and eCommerce solutions, as well as custom programming and content management systems designed for large organizations such as cities, counties and school districts.
"I have always been a fan of Scarab and admired Andy's work," says Teece. "I was humbled when he approached me not only to purchase his company, but to continue providing the service levels his customers have come to expect."
Scarab Media will continue to do business under that name and at its current Medford location, but will become a division of Project A, Inc. For the foreseeable future, all employees of Scarab Media will continue on in their current positions, and new people have been hired to replace Spliethof's role as a Website developer.
