The City of Nichols Hills Launches New E-Government WebSite

(Nichols Hills, Oklahoma) Project A, Inc., an Oregon-based software and Internet technology company, joined Nichols Hills in launching the City's new Website, instantly placing them at the forefront of E-Government technology. The new site offers up-to-date information on meeting reminders, opinion polls and results, problem reporting and feedback forms. It also boasts such features as agendas and minutes for council, boards and commissions, site-wide frequently asked questions, city project updates, city news, a calendar of events and information about adoptable pets at the animal shelter.
Launched on November 1st and developed with Project A’s ActiveContent© technology, the new site is designed to offer a full range of interactive features and improved access to information. One hallmark of Project A’s government Web applications, email notification, provides information on current news releases, calendar events, agendas and minutes, employment opportunities and information relating to city bids and requests for proposals. Site visitors must subscribe to the service in order to receive automatic notifications.

According to Gray, ease of use and fresh, timely content remain the utmost goals of Nichol Hill’s new site. To accomplish this goal, Project A implemented their own custom developed Internet technology called Government-In-A-Box™. This secure and scalable solution is easy to update and requires no HTML, empowering city employees to copy and paste information to the site with the click of a button - while maintaining a consistent look and feel across the entire site.
